We are hiring experienced Manual Milling Operators to join our production and machining team for the fabrication and finishing of precision metal components in industrial projects. The role focuses exclusively on the setup and operation of manual milling machines, reading technical blueprints, selecting appropriate tooling, and ensuring high-precision machining according to Romanian industrial standards and international engineering codes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate manual milling machines (Bridgeport type or similar) to perform various machining operations.
  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines.
  • Calculate and set machine controls (speeds, feeds, and depth of cut) according to material specifications.
  • Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering specifications to determine machining sequences.
  • Ensure the accuracy of finished parts by performing regular inspections using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace, following strict industrial safety protocols and machine maintenance schedules.

Machining Operations & Scope

  • Milling Operations: Facing, squaring, slotting, grooving, and gear cutting on various metal components.
  • Drilling & Boring: Precision hole making, reaming, and boring operations as per design requirements.
  • Material Handling: Machining diverse metals including Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum, and Cast Iron.
  • Precision Measurement: Proficient use of Micrometers, Vernier Calipers, Dial Indicators, and Height Gauges for quality control.

Qualifications & Skills

  • ITI Certificate in Machinist Trade, Mechanical Trade, or equivalent vocational training – highly appreciated.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in manual milling operations within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Excellent ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and technical blueprints.
  • Strong knowledge of cutting tools, metal properties, and safe machining practices.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and handle heavy metal components.
  • Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Romania.
  • Basic English communication skills.
