What you'll do

  • Prepare and cook meals according to restaurant/hotel menu standards
  • Assist the head chef in daily kitchen operations

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 1u20132 years of experience in a commercial kitchen

Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret menu manuals, technical kitchen drawings, and standardized recipes to determine the required cooking specifications.

  • Prepare and cook various cuisines precisely using modern kitchen equipment and techniques.

  • Mix ingredients, marinades, and sauces to the correct consistency according to menu types and project requirements.

  • Check quality and presentation of dishes using precision and aesthetic standards to ensure guest satisfaction.

  • Perform kitchen preparation tasks, including cutting, portioning, and dressing raw materials using professional tools.

  • Execute basic plating and finishing tasks on food surfaces to prepare them for immediate service.

Kitchen Operations & Scope

  • Culinary Operations: Preparation of international, continental, and local dishes for commercial dining.

  • Production & Prep: High-speed and precise preparation of ingredients for large-scale hotel operations.

  • Station Setup: Assisting in the setup of workstations, inventory profiles, and equipment for daily activities.

  • Equipment Handling: Expert use of industrial ovens, grills, knives, precision mixers, and dishwashing instruments.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Relevant Vocational Training or ITI Certificate in Culinary Arts/Hospitality – highly appreciated.

  • Minimum 1–3 years’ experience as a Cook or Assistant in professional hotels or restaurants.

  • Strong ability to read and follow technical recipes, menu layouts, and food safety charts.

  • Hands-on experience with various cooking methods, temperature controls, and structural kitchen techniques.

  • Basic English communication skills to coordinate with the kitchen and service team.

Physical & Other Requirements

  • High physical stamina for manual labor, including long standing hours in high-temperature kitchen conditions.

  • Ability to maintain focus and precision during fast-paced service and repetitive preparation tasks.

  • Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Romania for a 1 to 2-year extendable contract.

  • Disciplined mindset with a strong focus on hygiene integrity and kitchen safety.
